AMERICANA once again had a wonderful time in Finland…but this trip was EXTRA-SPECIAL!
Gina Interviewed by Hannele @ the Book Launch in Helsinki
Rosebud Bookstore at Korjaamo in Helsinki was the gracious host for Gina’s A-Z of Classic American Clothing book launch on Friday. A BIG thanks to Hannele Hutala for the great interview, plus to everyone who attended the event!
We’re also bowled over by the review the book received from Ina of Good Rockin’ Baby.
On Sunday, AMERICANA hit the road to Tampere!
We were there sharing all our American goodies with the vintage lovers who came from all over Finland for Tampere Vintage.

AMERICANA also was helped out this time by local Tampere talent, The Amazing Anna Martevo, who assisted all her fellow Finns to get suited up for the winter in AMERICANA pieces.

AMERICANA ♥ SUOMI!
We’ve waited for this date for so long & Friday’s the night!
For those attending the book launch, there will be an interview with the author Gina Holdar, book signings, food & drink, a DJ and a lotto to win several pieces from AMERICANA’s collection of vintage clothing.
Plus, everyone who purchases a copy of the book will get a free vintage bandana!
There is also an article by Mikko Aaltonen in Friday’s Helsingin Sanomat’s Nyt-Liite magazine, so be sure to take a look.
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
A-Z of Classic American Clothing By Gina Holdar
I am currently finishing up a book with the working title A-Z of Classic American Clothing. You can click here to see a preview and leave feedback.
The book takes a light-hearted approach to uncover brief histories, facts, heritage, provenance and anecdotes about American clothing and brands that have made their way into mainstream modern wardrobes.
I think that this information is especially interesting for those who want to learn more about American clothing classics and their social context, which have origins dating back decades, even centuries. It should also be appealing to readers who want to investigate the elements that make up their persona and lifestyle.
AMERICANA aims to give you unique pieces of classic American vintage clothing and an interesting story to go along with it!
All comments and suggestions that you share are most welcome!
