Dear Friends,
Since our arrival a short time ago to Sweden, we’ve had the fortunate opportunity to meet many of you who have a passion for denim. We have learned a lot during our discussions with you and in every instance have wished to continue the conversation.

With so many of us passionate for denim in one place, we feel that there should be a home where we can all come together on a regular basis to discuss our shared passion for the world’s most beloved fabric.

Whether it’s to learn more from each other, to show and tell about new or old vintage pieces or just to simply network with like-minded souls, we at AMERICANA Classic Vintage endeavor to weave together these exclusive evenings for all things denim.

On November 3rd at 7:30 p.m. we’re gathering together for the first time. Mats Andersson and Johan Söderlund of Indigofera will be sharing their thoughts on denim, followed by snacks and drinks from Gray’s American Stores! Plus, all our guests will receive a 20% discount off everything in the store during the event.

We hope to see you there!
Gina Holdar of AMERICANA Classic Vintage

Vintage Inspiration for Today’s Jeans Trends

Workwear Jeans

In the ’70s, it was bell bottoms. In the ’80s, it was tight designer jeans. In the ’90s, you went from distressed grungy to dressy denim. Then, in the 2000s came the skinny-jean revolution. And throughout these decades, classic cuts and workwear jeans have been a mainstay.

But today insiders say that there is no defining denim trend. It takes different cuts of jeans to make up a person’s wardrobe today.

Boyfriend Jeans

Skinny jeans are still going strong and the high-waisted, flared-leg pant that was popular on the runway for fall is gaining popularity, while boot-cut and boyfriend jeans have already earned “classic” status.

Skinny Jeans

These days people are not committed to a single look. Casual and dressy pairs, colored jeans, as well as those with light and dark washes all make up a modern person’s wardrobe in various silhouettes.

I guess you could say that we’re in the middle of the “anything goes” trend where the eras before all have equal influence. There’s a lot of democracy today when it comes to the blue jeans people are wearing.
